Remember Knights of the Old Republic? Of course you do. Even if you're not a fan of the Star Wars universe, chances are you've come across this series more than once. Often branded the best singleplayer (RPG) Star Wars video games to this date, it's a real shame we never got to see a third entry. But it seems that Respawn are working on fixing this. Yes, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order may just be the next great singleplayer SW game.
Coming Nov. 15, this year, Fallen Order puts you in the shoes of Cal Kestis, a padawan who has survived the Order 66 onslaught. It will be your task to help Cal overcome any and all dangers, while fulfiling his true Force potential.
With 7 months to go, Respawn have already made some encouraging claims. We'll be able to visit familiar locations, as well as lots of new ones. Interact with familiar faces, as well as lots of new ones. Then, there's also the "thoughtful combat" which will apparently involve using lightsabers and the Force to survive. Lastly, there's the fact that Call will have droid BD-1 as his trusty sidekick.
We are yet to see gameplay videos, but things do look very promising so far. And let's not forget the statements that there will be no multiplayer, nor microtransactions. At this point, it seems that nothing could go wrong.
So, are we finally getting the next chapter in great singleplayer Star Wars stories? We should know by November, but we'll be definitely keeping a close eye on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
